Army West Point Triathlon team travelled to Naples, FL, to compete in the annual HITS Naples Olympic Triathlon. The team started off 2016 with a great success. CDT Dylan Morgan was the second place overall finisher of the race, which consisted of a 1500m ocean swim, 40 km bike and 10 km run; CDT Morgan finished in 1 hour 57 minutes. Additionally, the team won several age group awards, including CDT Katrina Joseberger ’19, second place female, and CDT Catherine Sedy ’16 and CDT Madison Jones ’18, first and second place female 20-14 year old. On the men’s side, CDT Jacob Slife ’18, CDT Remington Ponce-Pore ’18, and CDT Nicholas Chatel ’18 swept the podium with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male 20-24 year-olds respectively. In addition, the officer-in-charge, LTC Kenneth Allen, was first in the 45-49 year-old division.
