The men on the Army West Point Fencing Team have been competing to qualify for Regional, Conference and National Championships. With their winning record, the Men’s group is poised to qualify for all post-season competition. The men defeated Lafayette College (16-11), Yeshiva University (17-10), Hunter College (14-13), University of Maryland (14-13), William and Mary (14-13), while only dropping losses to Johns Hopkins, Sacred Heart and Vassar College. The highlight of the season has been the win over Navy by a landslide, with the largest margin ever by a score of 21-6. This group is one of the only teams at West Point to never have lost to Navy. Leading the Men in scores are CDT Blake Gordon (20-7) in the weapon of Sabre, CDT Josh Qualls (25-9) in the weapon of Foil, and CDT Aaron Mellstrom (19-16) in the weapon of Epee.
