The West Point Triathlon team participated in the 4th annual HITS Olympic triathlon, Jan. 11, in Naples, Florida. The HITS race provided a rare opportunity for the team to compete in actual race conditions in the winter, as they prepare for the spring season and the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championships in April.
The cadet team was extremely successful, with the top performance by Dylan Morgan, class of 2016, who was the 2nd overall male in the race.
The other achievements for the team are as follows:
- Remington Ponce-Pore and Jacob Slife both class of 2018, were 1st and 2nd in the 18-19 year-old male division
-Angelica Dickson (2016), Mackenzie Williams (2018) and Catherine Sedy (2016) were 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, in the 20-24 year-old female division
-Tom Hinds (2016), Brad Bachand (2015) and Kevin Miles (2016) were 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, in the 20-25 year-old male division.
