The Journal of Military History (J. Mil. Hist), the flagship journal in the field, published articles by History faculty MAJ Brian Drohan (an Academy Professor select) and Prof. Sam Watson in its April issue. MAJ Drohan published "Unintended Consequences: Baton Rounds, Riots, and Counterinsurgency in Northern Ireland, 1970-1981," and Prof. Watson published "Military Learning and Adaptation Shaped by Social Context: The U.S. Army and Its 'Indian Wars,' 1790-1890 (Prof. Watson's third article in the Journal of Military History since 2011). MAJ Drohan's book, Brutality in an Age of Human Rights: Activism and Counterinsurgency at the End of the British Empire, was published by Cornell University Press in January.
