The Army West Point baseball team earned an 8-4 victory over No. 28 Stetson here Wednesday night. The Hatters, who were voted 12th in the Collegiate Baseball poll and 28th in the NCBWA poll, saw their nine-game winning streak halted in the contest. The Cadets jumped on things early, notching five big runs in the second inning to break to game open. Anthony Giachin and Anfernee Crompton started the frame by notching back-to-back singles. Rob Regine then reached on an error following a sacrifice bunt to load the bases. Josh White was hit by a pitch during the next at bat, which brought home Army's first run of the inning. The Hatters tallied the first out on a fielder's choice but still had to deal with the bases being loaded when Jacob Hurtubise stepped up to the plate.
