Men’s Soccer Collects Six Postseason Awards

Men's Soccer 2017Highlighted by Zac McGraw's Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year honors, the Army West Point men's soccer team earned five all-league team accolades on Monday afternoon. The yearling defender also found himself on the All-Patriot League First Team for the second time in his career, while Marcos Arroyo, Rex Epps and Justin Stoll all received second team honors. Keenan O'Shea rounded out the awards for the Black Knights with third-team recognition. McGraw, who was tabbed the Patriot League Preseason Defensive Player of the Year prior to the start of the season, played a pivotal role in Army's defensive success during the 2017 campaign. His 6-4 stature caused issues for opposing teams all season long as Army led the Patriot League in fewest goals allowed (14) and limited the opponents to the fewest amount of shots (132). The Torrance, Calif., native also contributed on the offensive end by assisting on the Black Knights' game-winning score against Marist on Sept. 17. Arroyo, who was a co-captain for the Black Knights in his firstie season, started in all 17 games and logged the most minutes by any Cadet on the team. Read More
