Water Polo at the NY Regional Tournament

The Army Water Polo Team competed in the New York Collegiate Cub Division Regional Tournament. There have been many improvements since the last tournament. The Army team left with a 4-0 record, beating NYU, Columbia, Merchant Marine Academy and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Against NYU Army started strong with a pair of goals by firstie Shelby Lee and another one by the 2-meter man, Colin Stone, backed up by strong performances in the goal by cow, Jeff Stark. Several key blocks were turned into goals by the quick counterattacks of Leo Milman and Mathew Kim, ending with a score of 14-3. A similar performance over Columbia with a 20-9 victory. Some notable players of the next two games were Halle Kotchman, Jinwon Heo and Sam Kim, DJ Pinter, Chris Onorato and Aaron Chough. The final score against Merchant Marine Academy was 15-5 and the Army team ended the tournament with a score of 16-7 against RPI.
