Cadets from the Creative Writing Forum, EN367 Drama elective, theatre arts guild, and PL300 attended a performance of Stephen Belber’s play, Tape. Arts in the Armed Forces, a non-profit that brings top quality theatre to military audiences for free in order to bridge the gap between military and performing arts communities, performed the play for their annual fundraising event in New York City. Adam Driver (AITAF’s founder), Pablo Tell Schreiber, and Keri Russell gave an incredible performance that focused on the dialogue of the play as opposed to the production value. With only the use of floor mics and music stands, the actors gripped a sold out crowd at Studio 54, powerfully depicting the value behind a sincere apology ten years following a date rape. The crowd was then afforded an opportunity to ask questions of the actors and the writer.
